Mill Creek Park is right around the corner
I had a “free” day Sunday – no obligations! So I took my camera for a walk in Mill Creek Park in Youngstown. I hit some of my favorite spots and found so much beauty.
Many spring flowers were done blooming – no daffodils in the meadow – but the dogwoods were beautiful.

This little flower intriguiged me.

I heard so many birds! Many I never saw, of course. But I was happy to find a few willing models.

This song sparrow seemed to be posing for me. I never photographed one before!

I often see red-winged blackbirds, but it doesn’t get old. They’re not subtle, either! I hear their calls regularly.

This black-capped chickadee spent a lot of time at this log. It was very close to where I was, but didn’t seem concerned.

Mallards are quite common, but also quite beautiful.
I don’t need to go far from home to find beauty to photograph.
