“Golden Moments” was accepted in the Butler Institute of American Art 85th National Midyear Juried Show. It runs through Sept. 5. 140 pieces by 126 artists from 18 states were selected from a pool of 727 entries from 269 artists across the country.

I agree with Cunningham – there’s something so satisfying about making a new photo. I fall in love again every time I make one that causes my heart to race. But that doesn’t mean I don’t play favorites with my others. This collection is a few of my favorites.

I entered two photos in the local fair. It’s always so much fun to enter. I started out in the amateur division years ago, and have “graduated” to the professional division. Friends enter both, and we have fun seeing each other’s work.

This show means a lot to me – it’s one of the first shows I entered when I first started submitting my work to juried exhibitions, and I am now on the committee that helps plan it! “Sprung” and “Life After People” Were accepted.
