My show “Nearby Wonders” opened Feb. 3 at the Chamber Gallery Art – Salem, OH with a reception. I was thrilled so many of my friends attended. I loved sharing my work with each of them. It’s always interesting to watch people intereact with my photos. And I always enjoy telling them a little about how and when I made the ones they’re particularly interested in. There’s so much more to making a photo than pushing a button – what intrigued me enough to compose and shoot, finding the perfect spot, and more. Those in attendance asked so many great questions and seemed genuinely interested in the story behind my work.

The 28 photos in this show were taken on trips within driving distance of Youngtown, Ohio. There’s something to see everywhere!
